A Smootchie™ is a multipurpose disposable active carbon hunting mask designed to adsorb the scents and odors from a hunter’s breath. As the vast majority of human scent originates in the mouth, the Smootchie™ ’s individually wrapped factory sealed virgin active carbon medium works very well to adsorb and contain these scents, thereby allowing you the hunter an advantage of not being detected (winded) by the animals he or she is hunting. It would be true to say that one Smootchie™ worn over your nose and mouth would be more effective at controlling scent than all other scent control measures combined. We do of course recommend vigilant scent control and believe all available measures should be adhered to for successful hunting including showering with scent free soaps, washing your clothes in scent free detergent etc.

Yet another benefit to wearing a Smootchie™ is that it will keep your face warm in cold weather by pushing the heat of your own breath up against your face (Great for riding four wheelers). Yet the Smootchie™ is light weight and highly breathable for warm climates as well.

By wearing the Smootchie™ you dampen the sound of your breathing, it also keeps the air you breathe in moist thereby preventing your throat from drying out which can sometimes lead to coughing. It also helps with chapped lips.

Field Dressing Wild Game can be a very rewarding experience, however sometimes depending on shot placement and various other factors the process can lead a good many hunters feeling less than enthusiastic. A Smootchie™ adsorbs the vast majority of these gut wrenching odors, however when you cut through the diaphragm do be prepared for some odors as the PPM (Parts Per Million) of odor molecules is high.

For maximum effectiveness and good personal hygiene we recommend only using a Smootchie™ for one day.
